Privacy Policy

Appto is a Mac app that takes your iOS apps from an idea to the App Store together with your AI agent. Most of your work never leaves your Mac. This page explains what does, and why.
Who we are
Appto and appto.store are operated by Appto. Questions about your data: support@appto.store.
What stays on your Mac
Your projects and code, your chats with your AI agent, your App Store Connect keys and your Apple ID password stay on your Mac. Appto does not send them to us. Your AI agent (Claude Code by Anthropic or Codex by OpenAI) runs under your own account with that company, and its privacy policy applies to it.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, confirmed by a one-time code or by Google. Your name, if Google shares it. Your account code (like A-7K3QM). How you first signed in. The country of your first sign-in, derived from your IP address. Your Appto language. When you signed up and when you last used Appto. Whether you want Appto news.
- Google sign-in. If you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your Google account identifier, email and name. We never see your Google password and get no access to your other Google data.
- Your Macs. A Mac identifier, the Mac model, the macOS and Appto versions and which AI agent you use. We need this to limit an account to three Macs.
- Your path in Appto. The dates of your first steps in Appto: sign-in, first niche report, payment, first app and so on. Nothing about their contents. You can turn this off in Appto › Account.
- Days of activity. That you opened Appto on a given day.
- Research. Research requests (niches, keywords, search rankings) are processed on our servers. We keep the time and country of a request, not its text. Research reports are kept for 30 days and aren't linked to your email.
- Live sales, if you turn them on. Apple sends notices about purchases, renewals and refunds in your apps. We keep the app, product, price, country and time, without buyer data. Turn off in Appto › Analytics.
- Onboarding and paywalls, if you turn them on for an app. The app sends counters: which variant was shown, whether purchase was tapped, how far onboarding got. We keep only daily totals, without data about the app's users. Turn off in Appto › Paywalls.
- Error reports, unless you turn them off: the error text and the Appto and macOS versions, linked to your account. Never your files, chats with your AI agent, keys or passwords. Turn off in Appto › Settings › About.
- Site visits. appto.store counts visits and downloads as daily totals by country and by the site you came from, without cookies or IP addresses. The totals are kept for 400 days.
- Payments. Paddle.com processes payments in US dollars and YooKassa in rubles. We receive the plan, period, amount and status, and for a card saved for renewal its type and last four digits, never the full card number.
- Book purchases. If you buy the book “50 iPhone app niches” (no account needed): the email you give at checkout (on our page for rubles, in the Paddle.com checkout for dollars), the option you chose, the amount, payment status and dates. We use them to send the download links, the receipt and, with a year of updates, an email about each new edition, and to handle refunds.
- Download link from the site. If you leave your email on the site to download Appto, try it or subscribe: your email, the page language, what you pressed (download, try, subscribe and which plan), where you came to the site from (a source tag, without your address or browser), the dates and how many emails with the link we sent, and whether you ticked the box for news. We use the email to send you the download link and install steps; when you subscribe, an Appto account is created for that email, and only you can sign in to it, with a code sent to that email. Appto news emails are sent only if you ticked that box, and you can unsubscribe with the link in any of them.
- Free book sample. If you ask for the 5 free niches: your email, language, when you asked, when we sent the email and how many times you downloaded the sample, and whether you ticked the box for news. We use the email to send you the sample link. Emails about new editions of the book and Appto news are sent only if you ticked that box, and you can unsubscribe with the link in any of them.
- Emails you send us for support.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run Appto's features and limits, such as three Macs per account and daily research limits.
- To send service emails: sign-in codes, a welcome email and, later, payment notices.
- To send news and tips, only if you opted in.
- To understand where people get stuck, from the path steps above counted across all users, and improve Appto.
- To find and fix errors in Appto, from error reports.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping payment records.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (account, sign-in, service emails, payments), legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving Appto from path steps and error reports, which you can switch off), your consent (news emails) and legal obligations (payment records).

How long we keep it
- Account, Macs, path steps: until you delete your account. Days of activity: up to 13 months.
- Sessions: up to 90 days after last use. One-time codes: deleted within two hours.
- Request logs: up to 12 months. Research reports: 30 days. Live sales: one day, after that Appto keeps the history on your Mac. Onboarding and paywall totals: 400 days. Error reports: 30 days after the error last happened.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
