Appto for Mac
The Mac app that takes your iOS apps from idea to the App Store. The download is free.
Version 2026.10.17 · October 17, 2026
Which Mac do you have? Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and choose “About This Mac”. If the “Chip” line says Apple M1, M2, M3, M4 or later, take the first button. If the “Processor” line mentions Intel, take the second.
How to install
- Open the downloaded Appto.dmg (on an Intel Mac, Appto-Intel.dmg).
- Drag the Appto icon into the Applications folder.
- Launch Appto from Applications. You can then close and delete the disk image.
Requires macOS 12.0 or later. After that Appto updates itself. When a new version is out, it offers to update and restarts once the agents finish their work.
What’s next
- Sign in to Appto with a code sent to your email or with Google. Your account is created on first sign-in; one account works on up to three Macs.
- Setup checks Xcode, the agent and your Apple account. It’s free and takes about 30 minutes.
- Watch the demo on sample apps right in the app, or subscribe straight away, in the app or in your account at appto.store/account. Niche search and the stages come with a subscription. You pick the plan in Appto on the “Subscription” screen and pay in the browser.
What you’ll need
- Xcode 26 to build apps. It installs only on a recent macOS, and Setup checks this first. At least 100 GB of free space.
- An AI agent with your own subscription, Claude Code (Claude Pro from $20 a month) or Codex (ChatGPT Plus from $20). Appto doesn’t resell it.
- An Apple Developer membership at $99 a year to publish on the App Store. Without it, Appto still takes you through the niche, concept, code, self-check and App Store page.
By installing Appto you accept the license agreement.
