Between July 11 and August 28, 2026, Appto shipped 9 apps to the App Store, from printing posters on a home printer to an illustrated novel. MoneyRewind was built overnight, submitted for review in the morning and was on the App Store by the evening of July 17. AI agents wrote the code and Appto's author made the decisions.
Nine apps on sale
As of October 13, 2026, nine apps made with Appto are on sale on the App Store. Eight of them are new. Carousela was rewritten from scratch in place of an older app by the same author and shipped as its new version.
| App | What it does | Category | On the App Store |

| Pool Chemist | Works out pool chemical doses from test kit readings and keeps a log of readings, all offline | Lifestyle | July 14 |
| MoneyRewind | Shows what money put into an asset years ago would be worth today. The historical data ships inside the app | Finance | July 17 |

Appto data as of October 13, 2026. Release dates from the App Store, all in 2026. For Carousela, the date of the new version.
What shipped fast
The fastest apps went from the first line of code to submission for review in a single day.
- MoneyRewind was built overnight going into July 17. It was submitted in the morning and was on the App Store by the evening of the same day.
- Matriq started on July 20 with a niche check. That same night the design, code, screenshots and the App Store Connect page were done, and the app went in for review.
- Solitaire Collection was built on July 22, with all six games in place by the evening. It was submitted on the morning of July 23 and launched the same day.
- Pool Chemist went from picking the niche to submission in one day, July 7. It reached the App Store on July 14.
- PosterTile was built on July 6, went in for review the same day and launched on July 11.
- BADSCAN was started on July 16 and launched on July 19.
They share one thing. Version 1 does one job, and everything else waits for version 2.
Where the time went
Most of the work came after launch. By September 1, 2026, the solitaire app had reached version 1.5. It gained interactive rules in every game, more languages and a larger font for older players.
The most useful fix came from checking the rules. In Pyramid the deck was dealt only once, and a solver won none of 60 deals. Now the deck is dealt three times and about 55% of deals can be won. In Klondike the check found 67 false "no moves left" messages in 224 deals, and they were removed in the same version.
PosterTile got version 1.1 on August 24, with zoom, posters from PDF files, new onboarding and a new purchase screen. And the author's novel Продам планету ("Planet for sale") became an app in eight days, from August 20 to 28, illustrations and reader included.
What Appto does before the code
Every app started with a niche. On July 7 the research showed that the top pool chemistry calculator had a 3.7 rating and charged $7.99 a year for a subscription, while the one-time purchase apps hadn't been updated since 2023. Pool Chemist launched with a one-time purchase.
Today the niche check in Appto asks five questions. Does at least one app in the topic make $100K a month. Are the leaders weak. Do newcomers break through. Could a chatbot replace the app. Is it easy to build.
You can see a full example in the breakdown of trading card scanner apps. Fifty niches that passed the check are collected in the book 50 iPhone app niches.
Who did what
Appto's author set the tasks, signed off on the design and confirmed each submission. The AI agent wrote the SwiftUI code, checked the screens in the simulator, made the screenshots and store texts, set up purchases and filled in App Store Connect.
The agent prepared store texts in several languages from the start. The solitaire app and the novel have their App Store pages filled in all 39 localizations.
What comes next
Over the summer Appto shipped apps one after another. Since September it has been working through new niches every morning, and the author decides which app to build.
The same path from niche to App Store is now in Appto, the Mac app. It runs on your own Claude Code or Codex subscription. Your code and Apple keys stay on your Mac. Appto asks for your OK where it writes to App Store Connect, and submits the app to Apple from your account or shows you what to press. Where to start is covered in How to build an iOS app with AI.
Questions
Are all the apps new?
Eight were built from scratch as new apps. Carousela was rewritten from scratch in place of an older app by the author and launched on July 22, 2026. Another older app of his, Filteroom, has also been rewritten in Appto, but that version hasn't shipped yet.
Who wrote the code?
AI agents. Appto's author made the design and release decisions.
Which agent were these apps built with?
Claude Code. Appto works with Claude Code and Codex on your own subscription.
How much do these apps make?
Appto doesn't publish sales for its own apps yet. For other people's niches we estimate revenue from the growth in App Store ratings and show it in our niche breakdowns.
Build your own app in Appto
Appto checks the niche on fresh App Store data, designs the screens, writes the code, builds the App Store page and submits to Apple from your account or shows you what to press in App Store Connect. Runs on your own Claude Code or Codex.
