App Store screenshot sizes and resizer

A table of sizes from Apple’s spec and a resizer for your own screenshots. The tool tells you which display each shot fits, resizes the shots to the sizes you need and builds a zip of PNGs in folders.

In short

Apple requires screenshots for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), which is 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 pixels in portrait. If the app runs on iPad, you also need iPad 13-inch screenshots at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732. App Store Connect scales them down for the other sizes. Use PNG or JPEG without transparency, 1 to 10 screenshots per display size (Apple, Oct 19, 2026).

Your screenshots stay on your computer. The check, the resizing and the zip are made in this browser.

Step 1

Apple’s sizes

Sizes in pixels. If an optional group has no screenshots, App Store Connect takes the ones from a neighboring group and scales them.

Step 2

Your screenshots

PNG or JPEG, several at once. Drop the files here or choose them. You can add an App Preview video too, and the tool checks its length and size.

The list holds an example right now, three screenshots of a made-up app called Steep. One has the wrong size on purpose, another has transparent corners. Choose your own files to check them.

Size, format and alpha channel are read from the file itself. Transparent pixels are found by scanning the image, and the fill color is taken from the shot’s edge, so look at the result before you upload.

Step 3

Resize

Tick the sizes. A shot that already matches an Apple size stays as it is. Others are scaled down to the largest size in the group they fit without stretching.

What you get

Step 4

Download

The zip has a folder for each size with PNGs without an alpha channel, in the order you added the shots. Each folder holds up to 10 shots, as many as Apple accepts per size.

PNGs in the zip are saved in sRGB. Videos don’t go into the zip, the tool only checks them.

Questions

What screenshot size does the App Store need in 2026?

Screenshots for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display) are required, which is 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 in portrait. If the app runs on iPad, you also need iPad 13" shots at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 (Apple, Oct 19, 2026).

Which sizes should I upload to be safe?

At the top of Apple’s spec only the medium iPhone with Dynamic Island is called required. In the table on the same page, iPhone with Face ID (large display) is marked required if there are no screenshots for the large iPhone with Dynamic Island. To be safe, upload the medium and the large iPhone with Dynamic Island, for example 1206 × 2622 and 1320 × 2868, plus iPad 13" if the app runs on iPad. The tool prepares these three sizes by default.

Where are the 6.9 and 6.5 inch sizes?

Apple’s spec used to name iPhone groups by inches. Now the groups are named by display, and the pixels are the same. 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796 and 1260 × 2736 (formerly 6.9") are now iPhone with Dynamic Island, large display. 1284 × 2778 and 1242 × 2688 (formerly 6.5") are iPhone with Face ID, large display. 1206 × 2622 and 1179 × 2556 (formerly 6.3") are iPhone with Dynamic Island, medium display.

Will App Store Connect accept a screenshot of another size?

No. Apple lists exact sizes in pixels, and App Store Connect won’t accept a screenshot of any other size. The tool fits such a shot by filling the margins with a color or cropping it to the center.

Why does App Store Connect reject my PNG?

Most often because of the alpha channel. Apple doesn’t accept screenshots with transparency, even when no pixel is transparent but the file has the channel. The PNGs this tool builds are saved without an alpha channel.

Can I stretch a small screenshot?

The tool doesn’t do that. A stretched shot looks blurry, text especially. If a shot is smaller than the size you need, capture the screen on a simulator or device from that group.

What are the App Preview video requirements?

Up to three videos per display size and language, 15 to 30 seconds long, up to 500 MB, in .mov, .m4v or .mp4, up to 30 fps. For iPhone with Dynamic Island and with Face ID Apple accepts 886 × 1920, for iPad 1200 × 1600 (Apple, Oct 19, 2026).

Where do my screenshots go?

Nowhere. The files are opened, checked and resized in this browser and aren’t sent to the site.

Appto

In Appto the agent makes the screenshots for your App Store page. It captures the app’s screens, translates the captions into 39 languages and shows two sets side by side. The chosen set goes into App Store Connect only after your yes.

Apple’s sizes and requirements checked on Oct 19, 2026. Screenshots are checked and resized in your browser.
