Superapp runs in the browser, builds on its own cloud Macs and charges in credits. No Mac needed, with Figma import, a built-in backend and free starter credits. Appto runs on your Mac with your own Claude Code or Codex subscription. Before any code it picks a niche on App Store data, it builds the store page in many languages, and after launch it shows sales and helps with reviews.
Each one in brief
Superapp builds native Swift and SwiftUI apps for iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac. It runs in the browser and builds projects on its own cloud Macs, and there is also a Mac version. You pay in Superapp credits; the AI models aren't named on the site. Superapp makes App Store screenshots, a draft of the store texts and a landing page for the app on your own domain.
Appto is a Mac app that takes your iPhone app from idea to the App Store, running on Claude Code or Codex with your own subscription. An app's path starts with the niche. Appto checks on live App Store data whether there's money in the topic and whether the leaders are weak. Then the agent designs the screens, writes SwiftUI code, builds the store page in every language and fills in App Store Connect. After launch Appto shows downloads and conversion from Apple's reports, and on Studio and Pro also purchases as they happen, gathers reviews and drafts replies.

- The AI runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription, so spending doesn't depend on platform credits.

- After launch, purchases, downloads, conversion and reviews in one window, with review replies.
- The code lives in your private GitHub repository and on your Mac.
What shipping the first app costs
Both need an Apple developer account at $99 a year. With Appto add Solo at $9.99 a month and Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus from $20 a month. Superapp Pro is $25 a month for 50 credits; per their docs one screen costs about one credit and an edit about a tenth of a credit, and extra credits are bought on top. Business at $50 a month gives 110 credits, Max at $100 gives 230. Prices as of October 17, 2026.
Who each one fits
If you don't have a Mac or want to start in the browser in a couple of minutes, with a Figma design and a ready backend, look at Superapp. If you have a Mac and want to pick a niche where people already pay first, and after launch see sales, reviews and App Store search next to the code, that's what Appto is built for.
Questions
Do I need a Mac?
Not for Superapp, it runs in the browser. For Appto, yes. The app runs on macOS 12 and later, and building apps needs Xcode 26 on macOS 15.6 and later.
How do I pay for the AI?
In Superapp, with platform credits. In Appto the AI runs on your own Claude Code or Codex subscription, which Appto doesn't sell.
Can I take my code with me?
Superapp exports the Xcode project on any plan. In Appto the code sits on your Mac and in your private GitHub repository from the start.
Can I try it for free?
Superapp has starter credits. Appto has no free tier and no free trial. Before you pay, you can look around the demo, which is built into the app and runs on sample apps with no sign-in, and work on your own app comes with a subscription.
Build your own app in Appto
Appto checks the niche on fresh App Store data, designs the screens, writes the code, builds the App Store page and submits to Apple from your account or shows you what to press in App Store Connect. Runs on your own Claude Code or Codex.
